A Girl Named Violet (season II)
"She took a picture of me. Called my name and 'tick', there was this polaroid coming out of her camera. 'I hate to see myself in pictures and you know that', I said. 'I know, but you are just so lovely grumpy in the morning, I didn’t resist'. We both laughed and emerged into this five minutes silence while enjoying sunshine over coffee. It was such a beautiful morning. She stood up, stretched herself, smiled and started walking away after leaving the polaroid on the table. 'Thanks for the amazing breakfast V, see you later!'”
"Where are they?! Well, only me to believe that 11am on a Saturday morning really means 11am. At least the sun is shining, I feel warm and in one hour I’ll be laying in the park enjoying the 'do-whatever-you-feel-like' spirit. I have my book, my badminton rackets and we’ll share our salads, snacks, chips and of course we all have a bunch of things to talk about. Picnics with friends are one of the summer’s highlights… Isn’t it amazing how can life be so simple sometimes?"
"I’m really excited about today. I barely slept last night thinking about the feedback they want to give me in person. I guess it can’t be bad - of course it’s not bad and I know it. I wanna get there now! Their opinion on this is really important. It can be the beginning of something bigger! Ahhh... Breath, you still have half an hour to get there. I’m so happy. And afterwards we’ll have lunch together. I can’t wait to share the news and a pizza with her. Good news, pizza and smiles. Today I don’t need anything else to feel happier."
"Pfffff… I’m definitely not in the mood. I've put a nice dress on, picked up the keys and almost left, but, two seconds before closing the door, I said to myself 'You don’t need to do what you don’t want to' and went all dressed up to my secret shelter. I’m trying not to overthink this. Of course it could be nice if I went, but I’m just fed up with this pressure of “networking” all the time. What I really want is to put an old t-shirt on, go to the couch and have a nice time with my new book. Yes, it’s not networking, it’s just quality time and quality time can be a lot."
Violet is a lonely girl that wants to discover the world by herself. She could be me or you if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s a fictional character. A Girl Named Violet is a journey into a colorful world where we get to know her while she is getting to know herself.
